Drive Arabia has strived to become the leading automotive portal for the U.A.E and the rest of the Middle East. Our audience consists of people from all over the region, researching to buy a new or used car, or just enthusiasts looking up what's new in the world of automobiles. With sections covering every new car, 4WD, pickup and minivan in the local market, information listed on the most popular used cars, coverage of various international auto shows, previews of upcoming future model releases, and entertaining video content, Drive Arabia has become the one-stop website for everything automotive in the Middle East.
Founded in late 2004, we have many regional 'firsts' under our belt. We are the first website in the region to launch a professional automotive news blog. We are also the first in the region to offer an online car buyer's guide with complete performance specs, pricing, reliability, resale and safety information for new and used cars sold in the GCC. And we are the first to offer exciting video footage of our numerous vehicle testing runs. We are also gaining popularity for some of the most unbiased car reviews in the business, and for being the first to break major stories on upcoming car models.
By the end of 2007, DriveArabia.com became the most popular online car buyer guide in the Middle East, according to alexa.com rankings. Drive Arabia also achieved "authority website" status in Google, becoming the first English automotive website in the region to do so.
DriveArabia.com has, in the past, partnered with 7Days and Campus Journal newspapers as well as TheEmiratesNetwork.com portal to provide them with automotive content. Currently, we are a content provider for MSNArabia.com and the official online media partner for the PrivatDrive VIP supercar show in Abu Dhabi and the Sharjah International Auto Show.
DriveArabia.com remains unique in that the Editor-in-Chief, a young engineering graduate brought up in Dubai, personally handles most of the content on the website, including original articles, photography, research and website management, with regular help from volunteers. Always fiercely independent from corporate pandering, DriveArabia.com continues to run on a non-profit basis, with minimal non-intrusive advertising and a shoestring budget.
