Chrysler 300C

The 300C’s unique styling and engineering combines pieces from the Mercedes-Benz parts bin with doodles from Chrysler's American design studios. Marking the Chrysler brand’s return to a rear-wheel-drive, V8 powered automobiles for the first time in decades, the 300C pays homage to the first letter-series Chrysler 300s, which where popular in the 60s for their performance and prestige. With a unique shape to stand out with, the interior continues the theme of the exterior, with distinctive materials and textures. The 300C also marked the return of the Hemi V8 engine to the Chrysler brand since the 1960s. The 5.7-litre Hemi V8 is immensely powerful, and features cylinder deactivation technology, seamlessly turning off the fuel consumption in four cylinders of the 5.7-liter HEMI engine when V8 power is not needed, improving fuel economy by up to 20 percent, though one would be hardpressed to notice a difference. The ride is smooth, but corners should be handled with care. A 6.1-litre V8-powered SRT-8 models is also available in many GCC markets, with a more sporting demeanour.

Chrysler Grand Voyager

As evolutionary developments of the America's most popular minivan, the latest model features a more square design, optional power operation of the sliding side doors, dual front airbags, a power rear liftgate and revised interiors that are quieter, nicer and more comfortable. The new Grand Voyager comes with a 3.8-litre V6 with a 6-speed automatic. It also features Stow ‘n Go rear seats, giving the ability to easily fold the second and third-row seats into the floor in as little as 30 seconds with a simple one-hand operation. More options include a rear-seat audio system, traction control, parking sensors, side-curtain airbags, a tyre-pressure warning system, electronically adjustable pedals and a rear-seat DVD entertainment. Chrysler minivans, in various shapes and names, are best sellers in the United States, but failed to make any headway in this region because minivans are not popular here.

Chrysler PT Cruiser

The PT Cruiser is Chrysler’s unique retro wagon, and it got a makeover inside and out with updated front and rear fascias, a new grille with Chrysler winged badge, new headlights, redesigned taillights, round fog lights and a new discrete spoiler on the tailgate roof. The PT receives an all-new interior to add refinement to the versatility. This new interior includes new seat materials, a new larger three-dial instrument panel colour-coded to the exterior paintwork, and an analogue clock, of all things. The versatile PT has a tall profile that gives it a high seating position and tons of interior space. The interior can be arranged in 32 different seating configurations. This front-driven wagon is powered by a 2.4-litre engine with a choice of five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission featuring driver-adaptive shift logic along with AutoStick manual gear selection. The PT Cruiser continues to inspire other manufacturers to delve into the retro craze. Too bad the turbo models are not offered here.

Chrysler Sebring

A new Sebring makes Chrysler a little more than a bit player in the midsize segment, with a funky new exterior and a revamped interior. Features include optional remote start, express-down front windows on the key fobs, 60/40 fold-flat rear seats, stain-proof cloth seats or optional leather seats, sliding centre console armrest bin with dual-bin front seat storage, heated cup-holders, optional Harmon-Kardon CD/MP3 stereo with digital storage space, and a multitude of airbags. On the technical front, Electronic Stability Program and Traction Control are optional, as is Brake Assist. Other features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS and keyless entry. Three engine options power the new Sebring in other markets, but the region only gets a 2.7-litre V6 as far as we know. The 2.7-litre has a five-speed automatic gearbox with AutoStick. The funky styling may not appeal to buyers used to Japanese midsizers, but the generous Sebring offers a host of standard interior and safety features that are not even available as options in its competitors.
