2005 Emirates Autocross Championship Round 1

EMSF 2005

The first round of the Emirates Autocross Championship brought together the most enthusiastic bunch of car nuts together for some intense driving fun. Organised by the Emirates Motor Sports Federation, the event consisted of three categories. The first category consisted of almost completely stock cars, the second category consisted of autocross-prepared cars, while the third category consisted of heavily modified cars. Contestants showed up with various vehicles, some of which are a rare sight on the local roads. Everything from a lowly Toyota Corolla to a bodykitted Porsche 911 made their presence felt at the autocross, which is really a simple event where drivers go one after the other, covering a track constructed out of road cones in a parking lot. Their numerous runs are timed, and the contestants get points based on how quickly they cover the track...
