The Koenigsegg family of exotic CC hypercars started back in 2002, with a two-door, two-seater utilising removable hardtop stowable under the front boot lid. The body is made of preimpregnated carbonfibre-kevlar and lightweight hard-foam sandwich reinforcements. The range has expanded to the basic CC8S, and the quicker CCR and CCX twins. All are powered by a 4.7-litre supercharged V8, with the CCR and CCX tuned to higher horsepower. All use a six-speed manual. All have electronically-adjustable ride height, magnesium alloy wheels between 18-inch and 20-inch depending on model, climate control, electric mirrors, leather interior, central locking, power windows, alarm with immobilizer, toolkit, driver-side airbag, power steering, ABS brakes, traction control, CD stereo. Options include custom-colour leather, custom paint, parking sensors, navigation, rearview camera, carbon-fibre wheels and fitted luggage. The CC8S and the CCR run on RON 98 petrol. The CCX was designed for the American market, so it runs on RON 95 petrol, has slightly more interior room, and has longer bumpers, along with various additional air intakes.
