Maserati GranTurismo
The attractive GranTurismo is a modern replacement for the 4200GT coupe, derived from a shortened Quattroporte platform. The sizeable GranTurismo is a pure Italian, given its Ferrari-developed engine and mechanicals, powered by a 4.2-litre V8 mated to a 6-speed automatic that adjusts to individual driving styles. An S version ups the ante with a new 4.7-litre V8, mated to a 6-speed MC-Shift automanual. Everything can be customised, including the interior, which can be had in a choice of 10 colours, accented by either wood or body-colour trim. This new-for-2008 two-door 2+2 coupe is a grand tourer rather than an all-out sports car, but still offers a balanced drive thanks to an optimal 49:51 weight distribution and sporting suspension. It is fitted with an automatic gearbox and equipped with an adaptive control system which adjusts the gear-shifting mode to the driving style and conditions. Maserati added the new S version to the line-up later with a sportier demeanour, while the convertible follows soon. All cars get a full suite of luxury features, such as power windows, premium CD stereo, electric mirrors, power-adjustable leather seats, alloy wheels, multiple airbags, ABS brakes, stability control and more.

Maserati Quattroporte
The Quattroporte is Maserati’s luxury sedan that joined the Maserati lineup in the 2004 model year. It can be had in many variants, including in Sport GT and Executive GT trims. All models have the 4.2-litre V8 engine that powers the Coupe and Spyder, and come with either a six-speed Cambiocorsa paddle-shifted automanual and, for the luxury model only, a true six-speed automatic. The standard Quattroporte model has all the usual power, safety and luxury trimmings, including premium audio and multiple airbags. The Sport GT adds a black chrome treatment to the grille and side air intakes, carbon-fibre steering wheel trim and hand-brake grip, and aluminium pedals. The exhaust has been tuned to provide a deeper rumble, and other changes include uprated suspension, better brakes and a re-engineered gearbox for sportier shifts. The Quattroporte Executive GT model is recognizable by its chrome grille and air intakes, and is equipped with heating, ventilation and massage for rear passengers, retractable wood rear tables, alcantara roof lining, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with wood inserts and a climate control panel for the rear seat passengers. The new Quattroporte Automatic model is fitted with an automatic six-speed ZF gearbox for more casual driving.
