The 2008 Chicago Auto Show played host to the American-market 2009 Acura RL, which is sold as the Honda Legend in the rest of the world. The anonymous-looking current Legend was released late in the GCC, and it looks like it will soon be replaced by this one.

The new model is essentially just a facelift, with a new front and rear end. Even the interior remains the same, with a few unnoticeable changes. However, the engine has been upgraded, with the new 300 hp 3.7-litre V6 benefitting from 367 Nm of torque. The Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system has also been reprogrammed to send more torque to the rear wheels in certain cases, as well as respond faster to changing conditions.

The facelift was done to make the car stand out more, although we are not sure this new styling direction is a success either. The Honda version of this car might get a different face anyway.

The rear is identical to that of the Accord Coupe. Great car indeed, yet very lame

I’ll do the Aurion eventually, but probably not any more VWs thanks to their attitude problem. Right now I have 2 other sedans lined up this month.
