Thanks for getting back to me Mashfique. I’ll check with the dealer but I have to state that some of the salesmen in dealerships don’t even know what they are selling or what options come in a car. This in no way helps anybody looking to buy a car, especially those who aren’t into cars as we are. I’ve faced this a few times and have ended up ‘educating’ some of them only to have surprised looks as replies . By the way, the magazine is ‘wheels’. I believe they are a decent publication and provide decent reviews(I could be wrong). You will find the article on the Xterra in this weeks issue. And yes, some publications just ‘lift’ content from other websites…talk about being creative or hard working

My basic Xterra tester didn’t have any of those gadgets. I cannot find any evidence either that the toys are offered here on any Xterra. Sometimes local publications are lazy and just lift stuff off American magazines, thinking no one will notice. Best to check with the dealer. But which magazine?!?

Mashfique was really lucky in scoring a Bentley Any more reviews of exotic or expensive cars on the way? AED100 spent on fuel is not so bad.
I was reading your review of the Xterra and happened to read another review from another publication today and was surprised to see that the journo who tested it mentioned that it came with Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control & a switch to lock the Rear Diff. Are these features available in this car(for this market)? The local website does not mention these options; only the US website does. I didnt see this mentioned in your review either. I’m asking as I’m considering buying this vehicle(planning to do a decent amount of off-roading). Would appreciate your input on this Mashfique.

In a car with no ABS, when you press the brakes, you might reach a POINT where your tyres lock up and that’s when you hear the loud screeching noise and the car keeps going straight when you try to turn. What ABS does is pump the brakes after this POINT, to avoid the locking tyres so you can still steer the car, but also making the braking distance longer.

Threshold braking is when you press the brakes enough to reach that POINT, just before the tyres can get locked or when the ABS could come on. This gives you the shortest braking distance, but it takes practice.

really nice pics and nice review, man you was lucky, am sure everyone was looking at you during your trip, and the cats came for the car not for the food and the pictures look like they were taken by a professional photographer. every thing was OK till i saw the last photo, when did this happen and from where you got this photo??? is it a porsche????
