I am feeling a bit depressed right now. I value my cars as much as people value their family jewelry. But thanks to some new laws coming soon, the value of my decent 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 AMG dropped as low as the price of my new mobile phone. It is the ultimate slap in the face for me, as it was my first car, bought in 2004 with my own earnings back in college, when every other kid on campus had a brand new car gifted by daddy. I can only drive it for two more years before it is scrapped,

Audi A1 hybrid concept at Paris Auto Show

Just when you thought Audi couldn’t do any worse, the VW-owned German manufacturer is now planning to release a subcompact hatchback called the Audi A1 Sportback. Currently only shown in concept form at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, the A1 wants to take aim at the Mini, but will most likely become known as an overpriced Yaris competitor.

Citroen builds GTbyCitroen real video-game car

We’re not quite sure what the purpose of this concept is, but it sure looks great. Shown at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, the car is called GTbyCITROËN, and it will be a playable car in some game called GT5 on some kid’s contraption called PS3. It seems to be a non-working full-size model, as Citroen’s press release is filled with nonsense, but no real mechanical details.

Seat unveils old Audi A4 as new Exeo

In what amounts to the lamest attempt at cost-cutting, Seat has just unveiled a “new” sedan model at the 2008 Paris Auto Show, called the Exeo. It would’ve been interesting, except for the fact that it is just an older-generation Audi A4 sedan with new front and rear designs. Seat was a source of unique designs relative to VW’s boring overpriced cars, but now it seems to be transitioning into a dumping ground for the VW Group’s unwanted designs.

Mitsubishi Colt & Ralliart debuts in Paris

The Mitsubishi Colt disappeared from GCC markets almost a decade ago due to poor sales. But it continued with new iterations in other markets, including Europe. The latest 2009 version is out, but it isn’t exactly the prettiest.

Lexus IS 250 C hardtop convertible debuts

It’s been in the works for years, but Toyota has finally got off their lazy asses and built it. The Lexus IS convertible just debuted at the 2008 Paris Auto Show. Called the IS 250 C, it features a folding metal top and revised overall dimensions.

While the brainless general media is still chasing stupid teaser images of the upcoming Lamborghini concept sedan, we can always depend on the web to leak information early. The car has been fully revealed on the internet, and it is called the Lamborghini Estoque.

All-new BMW X1 Concept revealed early

BMW seems intent on diluting its brand image further with every new model they create. As if the X6, the X5 and the X3 weren’t enough, the German company has now created an X1 soft-roader, to be shown in near-production trim at the 2008 Paris Auto Show.
