The 1st Lebanon H.O.G. Harley tour in October

Taking off on Friday October 2, the 1st Lebanon H.O.G. Tour is an officially recognized H.O.G. event organized by the H.O.G. Lebanon Chapter for Harley-Davidson owners only.

It consists of a 3-day ride across Lebanon that will take the riders on scenic Lebanese roads from sea straights to winding mountains in a fun-packed event where themed nights, good food, entertainment and other happenings are sure to spice it all up the Lebanese way.

Organized for the 1st time in 2008 as a non-official Harley event, last year’s tour gathered some 147 riders from the Arab world and few daredevils from USA and Europe in the objective to promote safe riding, make Lebanese riders part of the worldwide Harley-Davidson/H.O.G. community, promote Lebanon through the tour and try to change the country’s headlines in times of constant turmoil.

This year, the event is twice bigger and louder for 300 riders are expected to join from their respective regional chapters; KSA, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar and individual riders from Syria, France, Germany, USA, and Canada, to ride along their Lebanese mates.

The 1st Lebanon H.O.G. tour will take off on Friday October 2, 2009, starting 9:00 am at BIEL with a first night stop at Faqra’s Mzaar Intercontinental and Terre Brune and a dinner at Rikky’s. Day two ends at Pineland Hammana, Rami Hotel, Hammana Plaza and Valley view with a concert performed by Chadi’s band at Pineland.

The ride finally ends on Sunday, October 4 at 6:00 pm at Martyrs’ square with a must-see bike line up, a gig performed by the Mavericks, a convivial cocktail and prize distribution.

The tour is sponsored by DHL Global Forwarding, MEDCO gas stations, Co-Op chain, Varta Batteries, AMP energy drink, Itihad Airways, Socrate Catering, and media partners Al Balad French & Arabic Newspapers. The tour’s safety is ensured and sponsored by PTS Ambulances who will be escorting the 3-day ride.
