Roush Mustang 2011 officially announced in UAE

Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors, the UAE’s Ford dealers, have been appointed the official UAE dealers for ROUSH products, and their first offering is ‘The Shamal’, also known as the 2011 Roush Mustang.

As we reported earlier, ‘The Shamal’ is really a Roush 5XR based on the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The UAE version differs only in its badging and exterior stickers. The UAE dealer will only have 15 limited-edition cars in stock, all carrying a specially-crafted plaque near the gear shifter indicating the series-number of the car. As expected, the Roush Mustang uses a 5.0-litre V8 with a supercharger tacked on and other mods, good for 525 hp. Other upgrades include a body kit, suspension, exhaust and wheels, details for which we reported on in the 2011 Roush Mustang 5XR story.

The Roush Mustang ‘The Shamal’ cars are priced at Dhs 250,000 and are on display at showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Another version with a panoramic glass roof is available for Dhs 260,000. Currently the ROUSH Mustangs are only available in one configuration, which could be expanded to include two more later on in the year.

Al Tayer Motors will also offer existing Mustang owners the option to buy a broad range of original Roush performance products.

  1. Very expensive. Why buy this, get a BMW M1 … LooL

I guess the price of the M1 is gonna be close to this, or maybe less, but the M1 has the M spirit in it… A Mustang for 260,000!!!

  2. The standard GT 5.0 is already running at par with the M3 and a hell of a lot cheaper… are u seriously telling me that you’d opt for a 1-series if it is in the price range of the Roush?

  3. Pricey, even tho its loaded with some hefty equipment.. Still this car is not for the typical driver. This a proper touring car..

  4. Are you Kidding A Roush with that much Horse Power is one bad ass car!!! The 2011 V6 Mustang will run with the M3. Plus Being A Limited Edition will make the value go up & up & up & up !!!!!!!!

  5. Just add a Magna Charger supercharger to a STOCK 5.0 and save some money 🙂
