Ferrari F12 Berlinetta replace 599 as all-new flagship
Ferrari has just unveiled their most powerful road-going car ever. Previously speculated to be named the 620 GT, the replacement for the 599 has actually been named the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
The F12 button is powered by a 6.3-litre V12 making 740 hp at 8500 rpm, with 690 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm, 80% available at 2500 rpm. It only comes with an “F1” dual-clutch automatic gearbox, in keeping with their official promise to eliminate the traditional manual gearbox forever, one model at a time.
Other features include carbon-ceramic brakes, updated magnetorheological suspension control system, and numerous jumbled electronic aids, including E-Diff, ESP Premium, F1-Trac, and high-performance ABS.
It all helps the 1525-kg car do the 0-100 kph run in a claimed 3.1 seconds, with the 0-200 kph blast taking 8.5 seconds, according to Ferrari. Ferrari also claims that the F12 can complete the Fiorano circuit in 1:23 minutes. The previous record-holder was the 599 GTO at 1:24, while the Enzo did it in 1:25. Top speed is over 340 kph. Drag is reduced to just 0.299 Cd, downforce has been increased by 76%, and fuel consumption is down by 30%, although it probably still drinks more than a Hummer.
The F12 Berlinetta will debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show this March. When it reaches the GCC, expect a price tag well beyond Dhs 1 million in the UAE.

Would anyone believe me if i said i saw one of these with a local guy near dubai mall a couple of days back? And trust me.. i know what i saw..and this exactly was IT!! I was confused which Ferrari was it.. now i know.. ‘F12’. I would really want to know how did he even manage to get one of these……

Thats what i thought at first.. but then i knew the FF has four doors. The one i saw has 2! Unless the FF also comes in a 2 door version, Im pretty sure it was this buddy.
