2013 Qatar Motor Show debuts 26 new models in the Middle East

The 2013 Qatar Motor Show has been open to the public since 29th of January and will run until the 2nd of February. Many automobile manufacturers have used this event to launch a number of their models in the region, while a few models made their world debut.

A total of 26 new cars were revealed at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show. Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Bertone, Ford, Ferrari, Kia, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes, Mini, Mitsubishi, and Toyota have used the show to launch or showcase some of their latest models regionally. In addition, Brabus, Lamborghini and W Motors have launched models globally.

Some of the regional debuts included the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Volkswagen Golf, Ford Escape, Lincoln MKZ and Maserati Quattroporte.

The Lykan Hypersport by W Motors made its world debut at the show, the Middle East’s first supercar brand, whose headquarters are based here in the UAE. Lamborghini showed off their Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster, making one of its first public appearances. The Brabus G800 was also revealed at the Qatar Motor Show, which is essentially a Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG model modified by the German tuner.

  1. Surprised to see Honda not participated in the Motor Show. Because I believe they have only one model to launch this year, 2013 Accord, and they launched it in their showroom 5 days prior to motor show start. RedBull drift shows were awesome. But still I believe the Qatif guys made much more professional drifting in the public roads (!!!) using their 80’s Cressidas when I was in saudi.
