Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG-based Brabus 800 revealed in Qatar

Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG Brabus 800
Brabus held the world premiere of their incarnation of the Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG at the Qatar Motor Show. Dubbed the Brabus 800, the upgrade gives the G 65 AMG a massive power boost, and some optional exterior add-ons as well.

As the name suggests, the power of the twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine has been upgraded from 612 hp to 800 hp, while torque figures jumped from 1,000 Nm to 1,420 Nm. This is enough to send the Brabus 800 from 0-100 kph in 4.2 seconds and give an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kph.

An electronically-adjustable Brabus Ride Control feature is also added, which has a sport and comfort setting for the driver to manually choose from. A sports exhaust has also been added to give it more growl.

There is an optional wide-body kit called Brabus Widestar, which includes fender flares, front spoiler with LED daytime running lights, Brabus logos which light up upon unlocking the doors, integrated air vents, new front grille with integrated Brabus logo, additional panel below the radiator grille and three different 23-inch Brabus rims to choose from.

The customisable interior upholstery has a lot of colour combinations and different materials to choose from. Other bits of the interior can be changed as well, such as velour floor mats, aluminium pedals and door-lock pins.

Offered via specific Mercedes-Benz dealers, you will probably see the Brabus 800 soon in UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class AMG continues to be a massive hit in this region. Last year the G-Class AMG models accounted for a healthy 35% out of total AMG sales in the Middle East and Levant.
