The Chevrolet Camaro has been been facelifted for the 2014 model-year, debuting at the 2013 New York Auto Show. The two models displayed include the Camaro SS and the new Camaro Z/28.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS

The 2014 Chevy Camaro SS is still powered the existing 426 hp 6.2-litre V8 engine. Aside from the pointier front-end, the generic tail lamps, the functional new bonnet vents and optional Recaro seats, there aren’t any other visible changes.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 2

The 2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28 is powered by a 7.0-liter “LS7” engine, making “at least 500 hp” and mated to a manual gearbox. It has been modified to reduce weight. This includes thinner rear glass and lighter wheels, with the a/c made optional. Other features include a front chin-splitter, undertray, flared fenders, rocker extensions and a rear spoiler, while the interior gets a flat-bottomed steering wheel, standard Recaro seats and a matte-metallic finish.

  1. I was hoping for an interior design change more than anything though. The exterior change/facelift is decent enough, but wish they had really made a bigger change on the inside.

  2. Probably one of those very rare cases when a face-lift for a car of this category doesn’t include the addition of LEDs

  3. I like it, nicely done and still maintains classical touches from previous Camaros! But I agree with rebel the interior needs some serious re-design and re-selection of materials/finishes.

  4. i can not see the sunroof.. Did they exclude it in the upcoming models?

    I think the current version looks awesome as it is.
