Lexus previews concept LF-NX at Frankfurt

Lexus LF-NX Concept
Lexus took full opportunity to show off their sculpted and curvaceous looking LF-NX Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Now, Lexus is not the first of the lot to turn up at the show with a crossover concept, as Infiniti popped up with their Q30 Concept and Kia with their Niro Concept. But the LF-NX looks a lot more keen to take on Mercedes-Benz GLK, Volvo XC60 or even Audi’s Q3, than either Infiniti or Kia.

From the images it is pretty easy to tell that the LF-NX borrows the corporate edgy fascia from the IS sedan. And even though it’s too soon to comment on the design of the actual vehicle, we’d have to say, if it comes anywhere close to the Lexus’s IS, then it would certainly be a decent looking crossover.

The concept according to the company will be powered by a new variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system tuned for “SUV performance”. We’ll still have to wait and see the final product. Stay tuned for more news of the Lexus LF-NX.
