Middle East’s first-ever in-mall Go Karting circuit launched in UAE

RAK go-kart
Ras Al Khaimah recently unveiled what they’ve dubbed the Middle East’s first-ever Go-Karting facility to be set up inside a mall, if you don’t count the one in Jeddah. Go-K, a 10,000 square-feet drift go-karting circuit, opened in RAK Mall.

Height requirement to use the karts is at 1.25m and above, and the circuit is said to be closely monitored by go-kart experts to ensure the safety of the drivers at all times. There’s also a Go-K Cafe at the facility which serves a selection of Italian coffees, cakes and snacks.

What do you think?

  1. What are the ticket rates/ rate per round ?

  2. One in Jordan as well haha!

I guess they do need a market research before releasing such claim.

  3. Theres a go-karting track inside Villagio Mall in Qatar as well. Unless i’m missing some difference here. In which case the title needs to be altered.

    • This is Unique, first its Drift Go Karting and not the traditional one which is acheived by using Nevaplast as the Tarmac, this reduces traction give you the drift experience, second it is indoors I.e within the mall enclosed Area for ex Ice Rink of Dubai Mall, lastly it runs on Lithium batteries so no emissions that is why it is possible to bring this experience indoors..cheers

  4. There’s a go-karting track in Sarafi mega Mall, Jeddah, KSA. Not sure about the differences.

  5. There’s one in Rashed Mall, Khobar, KSA too! These people need to do some research hahaha

  6. i wonder where the biggest/longest go karting circuit is

  7. Dear All, we did check and we did our market research! Mr Maoruf Hussain just forgot to add two important words in the title “DRIFITNG” and “ECO-FRIENDLY” since GO-K is a 10,000 square-feet DRIFT GO-KARTING CIRCUIT with a special drifting flooring and not a normal track. Moreover all ENGINES of GO-K KARTS ARE ELECTRIC hence ECO-FRIENDLY. These two main characteristcs, plus the fact that it is indoor, make GO-K CIRCUIT in RAK MALL – RAS AL KHAIMAH the “First-ever In-mall Eco-friendly Drift Go-Karting Circuit launched in the Middle East”.

    • Actually, Mr. Marouf Hussain wrote the story based on exactly what was on the official press release:

“Ras Al Khaimah is now officially home to the Middle East’s first-ever Go-Karting facility to be set up inside a mall. Go-K, a 10,000 square foot drift go-karting circuit, joins an impressive list of attractions to be hosted by RAK Mall, a premier retail and entertainment venture managed by Line Investments & Property LLC, a division of Lulu Group International.”

  8. I visited RAK Mall on the weekend and tried out the rides on Go-K myself. It is fun. It was good to see both adults and children enjoying the rides. As a parent, it was an excellent opportunity to spend time with my children.

Spintwister, the rides are 30 dirhams for 5 minutes and 50 for 10 minutes. But worth it!

  9. Hey guys, I am a go-karting enthusiast myself and have been to the circuits in Sarafi Mega mall, Villagio mall and the Wonderland one in Dubai. I did a comparison between the different circuits.

What I can safely say is that all these use petrol and diesel to power their carts. At the end of the rides on these, you come out with teary eyes and coughing.

Go-K carts, however, use electricity, which is more environment-friendly. If you love drifting, you will also enjoy this at the RAK Mall facility. I saw not only men, but also women and kids enjoying that feeling of drifting.

  10. we had a Go-K in Damasquino Mall Parking in Damascus ,Syria back in 2010

  11. The good thing about indoor Go K is that you experience the thrill
while driving, while enjoying the cool feeling indoors and you feel as though
you are on the real race track with a chance to drift along. Gr8
initiative RAK mall and nice opportunity for Go K lovers.
