2016 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line released in UAE & GCC

The 2016 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line is set to arrive in the Middle East next month. It is the latest model to join the Volkswagen ‘R’ fleet, which includes the Golf R, Scirocco R, and the Touareg, Tiguan and CC R-Line.

For the exterior, the Beetle R-Line front fascia features bigger air intakes in the bumper, while the rear gets a lower diffuser and large spoiler. It also gets 20-inch “Monterey” alloy wheels to complete the look.

Inside, it gets two-tone cloth sport seats, a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel with R-Line badging and a set of sport gauges mounted on the top of the centre console, along with R-Line door entry sills.

Other standard options on the Beetle R-Line include panoramic sunroof, xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, touch screen, Bluetooth and USB connection.

Under the hood, it gets the 210 hp turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The 2016 Volkswagen Beetle R-Line will be available at Volkswagen retailers in UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
