2016 Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has revealed the 2016 Sonata with just a minor facelift in the US. Since it was only recently redesigned, the changes are relatively low-key, with only the top model getting a more aggressive look with a new bumper and restyled alloy wheels.

For the interior, Hyundai has added additional standard equipment which includes a 7-inch Display Audio system with a rearview camera, and Android Auto compatibility. Visually, everything is pretty much the same.

Mechanically, the 2016 Sonata adopts a number of aluminium suspension components to reduce weight and unsprung mass. Components upgraded include the upper and lower control arms, the assist arms and the steering knuckle.

A new safety feature has been added, that is models equipped with Forward Collision Warning gain an Automatic Emergency Braking system.

The 2016 Hyundai Sonata should make it to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries before the end of the year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Hyundai Sonata buyer guide.
