Nissan Altima 2016 facelift revealed

The 2016 Nissan Altima has just been unveiled, three years after the debut of the current version, and it looks to be some sort of mid-life facelift rather than a full model redesign.

The update basically consists of a Maxima-inspired front-end and a Sentra-inspired rear-end grafted onto the existing Altima’s body, while interior changes are limited to a new centre-console.

Engine options also remain the same, with a 182 hp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder and a 270 hp 3.5-litre V6, both mated to a CVT automatic. There is also a new “SR” trim level that adds smoked lights, stiffer suspension and different wheels with grippier tyres, and is available with either engine.

Expect the new Altima to debut in the GCC sometime early next year.

Keep track of current UAE, KSA and GCC prices in the Nissan Altima buyer guide.

  1. Damn… that interior looks boring. And they’ve ruined the rear end completely now. Front looks nice though.

  2. I sometimes wonder if Nissan tries and makes the worst car interiors on purpose
