2017 Toyota Corolla unveiled at 2016 Oman Motor Show

When we were strolling through the relatively cosy 2016 Oman Motor Show, the last thing we expected to see was a new model debut. This here is the 2017 Toyota Corolla. While this isn’t exactly a new car, it’s a welcome facelift to a decent but aging model.

The changes seem limited to a new front-end, with minor changes such as chrome trimmings along the sides and LEDs in the rear light clusters of this top-spec 2.0-litre model.

Inside, the hard-plastic part of the upper dashboard has been replaced with soft-touch materials and stitched leatherette, although we doubt the lower-spec models will get this upgrade.

It’s interesting that Oman got a leg up on the UAE with this new model-year introduction, but expect to see it around the GCC in the coming months.

Keep track of pricing updates in the Toyota buyer guide.

  1. hope the next new model will be based on Toyota new global architecture, which will be light years ahead of what is coming from Toyota, the interiors r just cheap shit compared to Honda and even Nissan, Toyota used be luxury quality till mid 1990’s till lexus came along, still remember the glory days of in line 3 liter rear drive Toyota crown and Cressida….
