2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante debuts

Aston Martin has revealed the all-new 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante with more power than the previous non-S version, dragging on the ancient DB9 platform for one last hurrah.

Under the hood, the familiar 6.0-litre V12 from Aston Martin can be found. But for the S Volante, it is uprated to produce 600 hp in Europe. The rest of the world will have to deal with a 20 hp deficit, at 580 hp. The 600 hp Vanquish S Volante will do the 0-100 kph run in 3.7 seconds. It’s not just the power advantage that the S Volante has up its sleeve over the basic Volante, as a more refined eight-speed transmission is also part of the package.

The body is made of aluminium and carbon-fibre composite so the car weighs in at 1739 kg which are distributed almost equally between the front and rear. A set of 20-inch 10-spoke gloss black alloy wheels comes as standard but buyers can also choose from four different designs. The Vanquish S Volante also sports a carbon fibre splitter and rear diffuser while more carbon-fibre can be added to the wing mirrors, side strakes and exterior door release as an option.

Expect the Vanquish S Volante to reach UAE, KSA and other GCC showrooms by summer.
