Toyota TRD sport pack for 2018 Tundra and Sequoia

Toyota TRD sport pack for 2018 Tundra and Sequoia

At the 2017 Chicago Motor Show, Toyota’s stand showcased two toughened up TRD models. The toughness is not just skin-deep, though. The Sequoia and Tundra TRD Sport models look more intimidating than their standard versions and both harbour some off-road kit to add more go to the show.

The Sequoia TRD Sport and Tundra TRD Sport models receive a host of changes. The TRD Sport pack adds new bumpers, new grilles, 20-inch black wheels and black finishes on various parts of the body to both the models. The suspension also gets worked upon as the TRD Sport pack comes with Bilstein shock absorbers and TRD anti-roll bars. The changes in the interior are limited to a TRD gear knob, floor mats and, for the Sequoia, some door sill protectors.

Toyota also revealed the changes the 2018 Tundra will have. The Tundra will come with LED headlamps and separate grill designs for each trim. All 2018 Tundras will be fitted with Toyota Safety Sense P active safety suite as standard. This safety suite is a combination of various safety systems which include pre-collision warning, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The 2018 Sequoia will also feature these safety gimmicks and the unique grill designs.

The 2018 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Sport models will be released in September in the United States. It is not yet known whether the TRD Sport packs will be available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar or other GCC countries. Rumours of the Tundra coming here officially have also not panned out so far.
