2019 Lincoln MKC crossover gets facelift

Three years after the Lincoln MKC crossover debuted, Ford’s luxury division has refreshed the model for 2019. Lincoln says the MKC attracted many buyers who were new to the American luxury marque. This mid-cycle refresh is aimed to woo at more of these new buyers.

The front fascia is properly overhauled as the split grille is completely replaced with a single unit. The new headlamps along with the new grille give the 2019 Lincoln MKC a face similar to that of the new Continental sedan and Navigator SUV. At the rear, there are no drastic changes.

But these changes are only skin-deep. Under the hood, the same 245 hp 2.0-litre and 285 hp 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engines continue to function. All-wheel-drive is offered as an option with either of these engines, both of which come with front-wheel-drive as standard.

The interior design gets no changes as well. The infotainment system gets the latest Sync 3 setup from Ford. This supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is a Lincoln Way App that allows the drivers to start, lock/unlock and locate the MKC remotely.

The 2019 Lincoln MKC is due to hit showrooms by mid-2018.
