 AC Schnitzer, the German tuning firm specialising in BMW models for decades now, debuted their ’styling’ package for the BMW X6 M at the Automodex tuner show in Dubai. This came alongside news that AC Schnitzer packages will be offered with full warranties through BMW’s Dubai dealership.  Hennessey Performance has built a new performance package for the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Calling it the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500, power has been beefed up significantly creating one quick off-road beast.  Discovery Exhibition Organizers announced the launch of AutomodEx 2010 during a press conference today. The event will be held at the Dubai Autodrome from March 9 to 12, 2010 and aims to become UAE’s flagship high performance tuning exhibition. It combines “the elements of an exotic car and bike show, a radio controlled race tournament [...]  The CLR X 650 M is LUMMA Design’s latest creation. Sporting an upgraded engine and some aggressive styling, this modified beamer looks simply awesome.  German tuners VATH Automobiltechnik has released a V50S package for the E-500 engine which turns up the horsepower from 388 hp to 435 hp. Visual upgrades are available as well on the Mercedes Benz E Class Coupe.  We just love Range Rovers. And Project Kahn has made us more happy with their latest Range Rover project, the Project Kahn Range Rover Sport RS600.  WALD, a Japanese tuner company, recently released a styling kit for the new 2010 Lexus LS460.  Who in their right mind modifies a Bentley? Onyx has gone ahead and done just that with the ONYX Bentley Continental Platinium GTO package.  Dodge decided to celebrate its forty years of making performance cars by releasing Dodge Challengers in pink, though they try to make it sound more manly by calling the colour as furious fuschia.  Shelby American, legendary tuner Carroll Shelby’s firm, has ressurected the Shelby GT350 of old, basing it on the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The Shelby team unveiled a supercharged concept version of the 2011 Shelby GT350 at the U.S. Barrett-Jackson Auction, on the 45th anniversary of the first GT350.  Toyota went crazy over modded cars at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon in Japan. Alongside the FT-86 tuned by Gazoo under a new “G-Sports” badge, Toyota also showcased three other G-Sports cars.   SMS Supercars, who are known in the U.S. for pimping up Mustangs and Challengers, have decided to do the same with the Chevrolet Camaro. Along with exterior and interior upgrades, SMS beefs up the power in these muscle cars. They have released photos of its upcoming Chevrolet Camaro model, the SMS 620 Camaro.  Though the Toyota Land Cruiser is the last vehicle to ever need a body kit, we came across these offerings from a Japanese company called Jaos.  A new equipment package for the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M from tuners G-Power. It consists of a widebody kit, suspension upgrade and a power increase to the tune of 600 hp.  With a top speed of 322.3 kph, German tuner Brabus claims that their new modified Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class crossover has set a new speed record for street-legal SUVs on an Italian high-speed test track in October. SAFE!” initiative, designed by BMW tuners AC Schnitzer. The 1-Series diesel coupe police car is intended to promote safe tuning, as opposed to the outright banning of modified cars, like in some [...]  German tuners Brabus is now offering a tuning package for the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG, complete with a pumped-up engine and a robotic body kit.  German firm 9ff, a Porsche tuner that claims to be a full manufacturer, will be presenting the 9ff Speed9 at the 2009 Essen Motor Show next week. Based on the latest 911 Turbo, the 9ff Speed9 is apparently a vague tribute to the 1955 Porsche 356 1500S Speedster.  The recently-updated 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera can be made be faster by slapping on a kit by TechArt of Germany. The components include a “Racing” exhaust valve and new engine electronics for an increase of “up to” 35 hp. |
