Kia has been updating their sedan lineup and have been dropping each of their current names in favour of a new alphanumeric naming convention they follow in South Korea. Optima became the K5, and the Cadenza was upgraded by the K8. However their compact sedan, the Kia Cerato has kept its name but has received updates to its face and tech.
With the new Stinger, K5 and K8 coming out in the past few months, Kia is bent on sprucing up their sedan lineup, even as others are trimming their sedan count down to zero. Now it is the time of its compact sedan, the 2022 Kia Cerato. The refreshed Cerato showed its face off in new pictures of the equivalent Kia K3 revealed in its South Korean home market. The Kia Cerato GT Hatchback also gets a preview along with the sedan.

The Kia stand at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show became a venue for the unveiling of the 2019 Kia Forte, or Cerato as it’s known in the GCC. The 2019 Cerato adopts some styling cues from the Kia Stinger lukewarm sports sedan to make it more appealing.

Kia has officially revealed the 2017 Cerato sedan facelift model, which is known as K3 and Forte in other markets.
The snazzy 2014 Kia Forte Koup, known as the Cerato Koup in the GCC, was revealed at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. The third member to the Forte line-up will join the sedan and five-door models when it goes on sale at the end of 2013.

The 2014 Kia Cerato has officially been launched in the GCC, at an event in the UAE. Drawn up in America under a European designer, the third-generation Kia Cerato boasts sleeker styling that is 30 mm longer, 15 mm lower and 5 mm wider than the outgoing car, with a 50 mm extended wheelbase.
