Honda has added another 437,000 vehicles to an existing global recall for faulty air bags that dates back to November 2008, now totalling 510,000 cars.

 Celebrating its 50th year in America, Honda kicked off its week at the 2009 SEMA tuner show in Las Vegas with a variety of accessorised Honda models, including an official reveal of a 2010 Accord Sedan fitted with Mugen extras.  The all-new 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour made its first appearance in early official photos. Aimed at the U.S. market, it is a slightly-lifted crossover based on the Accord sedan, and will likely be offered with all-wheel-drive and a 3.5-litre V6 engine. But the bigger news is the amount of hate it is generating.  Here is one controversial story that has been largely buried by the automotive press. According to an article at ThisIsMoney.co.uk, the UK’s most reliable new car is the European-spec Honda Accord, while the stylish Audi A5 is most likely to break down, according to the 2009 Which? car survey.  For customers in East Asian countries such as Malaysia, fuel costs are a priority as petrol prices are rather high. To satisfy those who want a big car without the associated running costs, Honda is now offering a 2.0-litre variant in these countries.  I get asked a bit too many times which is the best midsize sedan out of the three Japanese stalwarts – the Honda Accord, the Nissan Altima and the Toyota Aurion. Very few even care for oddities such as the Galant, the Passat or the Lumina, but it is not my job to promote those [...] 
Okay, so it is impossible to compare a Honda Accord V6 with a Jaguar XF V8. But both are midsize sedans, both are redefining their genres and both happened to be parked under my place at the same time. So why not? |
