 German firm 9ff, a Porsche tuner that claims to be a full manufacturer, will be presenting the 9ff Speed9 at the 2009 Essen Motor Show next week. Based on the latest 911 Turbo, the 9ff Speed9 is apparently a vague tribute to the 1955 Porsche 356 1500S Speedster.  The recently-updated 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera can be made be faster by slapping on a kit by TechArt of Germany. The components include a “Racing” exhaust valve and new engine electronics for an increase of “up to” 35 hp.  At the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche is proudly presenting the 911 Sport Classic. In creating this unique model Porsche is bringing back the tradition of exclusive series built in very small numbers, for the 911 Sport Classic will be offered in a production run limited to just 250 cars worldwide.  The new version of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is now on sale to racing teams. It is now based on the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, with the weight of the racing model reduced significantly versus the lightweight road-going version.  Delivering even more engine power, lower weight and shorter transmission ratios, as well as upgraded body and suspension components than all previous GT3 versions, the new 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the latest street edition of the GT3 race car. It will be introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show this September.  Porsche has debuted the 2010 version of the Porsche 911 Turbo, and it would seem that all the updates are under the skin rather than on the outside. The new 911 Turbo apparently boasts improvements in fuel efficiency, lower weight, more power, and enhanced driving dynamics.  Run by Tym Switzer, American tuning firm Switzer Performance has introduced their 800 hp P800 package for Porsche’s track-focused GT2 last June, but apparently a number of customers asked if they could get the same power upgrade from the all-wheel-drive 911 Turbo model. So they went ahead and created one.  RUF claims to be an independent car manufacturer, and is also registered as such in Germany. In reality, they are an exclusive Porsche tuner, and their latest 911-based offering is the RUF Rt 12 S.  The Porsche World Roadshow is a 10-day event that is held in various cities around the world, usually reserved for Porsche customers, and usually for a fee.
