Future 4WD Releases

2007 Audi Q7
Audi has been itching for its own version of parent Volkswagen's Touareg, and this is evident from this offroader concept. Named after the famous Pikes Peak Hill Climb, this crossover will probably join Audi's range, which is currently bare of any SUVs. Expect engines from Volkswagen's stable, like the VR6, V8, W12 and V10 turbodiesel.

2006 Chevrolet Trail Blazer SS
The SS version of this midsize SUV has been doing the rounds at auto shows. It will probably be powered by a 5.3L or larger V8 with more than 300 hp. Exterior enhancements include air intakes in the front bumper and a subtle styling kit. A TrailBlazer SS is pretty much a no-brainer for Chevy. However it may only be available on special order in the Middle East.

2007 Ford Bronco
Ford desperately needs a tough all-terrain SUV to compete with the likes of GM's Hummer and DaimlerChrysler's Jeep brands. Ford's own Land Rover is too upscale, pricey and un-American to appeal to the masses. Therefore, Ford will probably come up will an all-new go-anywhere SUV wearing the revived Bronco nameplate, powered by a V8 no less.

2007 Hummer H3
The five door version is already out. The smallest Hummer yet will be available in a variety of body styles, including wagon with three or five doors, and pick-up truck with single or double cab. Engines will include a 3.5L Vortec inline-5, maybe even turbocharged.

2007 Jeep Rescue
Even though Jeep is synonymous with off-roading, their range lacks a vehicle as awe-inspiring as the Hummer. So that's where the Rescue comes in. Sporting the toughest styling possible, the Rescue is loaded with everything possible to run in the wilderness for days. It can even be configured for open-top driving. Expect it soon.

2007 Lexus HP-X
This concept hints at both, the future design direction of Lexus and its oh-so-obvious car-based crossover. Almost a certainty, it doesn't however make sense introducing a quasi-SUV while the RX 330 is doing its rounds. Based on the GS platform, it is powered by the corporate 4.3L V8, while a 3.3L V6 will certainly join the range on release.
