The Brilliance V5 is the Chinese company's compact SUV offering. It features a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder Mitsubishi engine, mated to a 5-speed automatic. The design has similarities to the BMW X1, since BMW produces the X1 in China in partnership with Brilliance. The front-wheel drive V5 is available in two variants, called Comfort and Deluxe. The Comfort model gets standard features such as power steering, power mirrors, power windows, central locking with remote key, fabric seats, single CD player with AUX, manual A/C, rear sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Deluxe model gets, keyless start and keyless entry system, pretinted windows, sunroof, driver side glasses box and luggage carrier. Standard safety features include driver and passenger front-airbags, ABS, electronic brake distribution, and traction control. The Deluxe model gets side airbags as well.
