Jeep Compass 2021 Overview
An all-new Jeep Compass came out in 2018. The compact 5-seater crossover features four-wheel-independent suspension, disc brakes and all-wheel-drive. The standard engine is a carryover 2.4-litre 4-cylinder mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission for the 4x2 models and a 9-speed automatic transmission for the 4x4 variants , but no standard low-range gearing. Standard features do include electric mirrors, power windows, keyless entry, leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lamps, roof rails, removable LED flashlight, 4-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with wheel buttons, cloth seats, rear 60/40 reclining and folding seat-back, front-passenger fold-flat seat, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Higher models include a UConnect touchscreen multimedia system with navigation and Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, leather seats, 18-inch alloys, power driver's seat, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic a/c and nicer floor mats. All models feature front, side and curtain airbags as well as ABS and stability control.

| Known Problems | In the US, there was a recall for the windshield wipers which may not operate. Few owners reported issues with the radio display getting hot and burning out, Auto Start/Stop error, 4WD not engaging, transmission shift shock, blind spot monitoring not working, Check engine coming ON randomly, and starting issues. |
