Saleen previews the 1000 hp S7 LM

Saleen has quite a history. The American Supercar manufacturer came out with the mighty fast S7 model in 2000 and then with a faster twin-turbo S7 in 2006. A number of lawsuits filed against them in the recent years by Ford dealers and a few customers due to delayed deliveries gave them a tough time. But they are now back with a bang. They have previewed their new S7, the S7 Le Mans edition. Saleen claims that they are bringing back America’s only true supercar. This edition will hark back to their victory at the 2010 Le Mans.

As the discussions regarding whether the BMW 8-Series will replace the 6-Series is heating up, reports indicate that the German luxury brand might be developing a new 9-series sedan. It will be based on the existing 7-series but will be longer and more opulent. The Vision Future Luxury Concept that BMW unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show is believed to be what the new sedan will be based on. If it makes into production, the 9-Series will be pitted squarely against the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

Here it is, a sneak preview of the full size, seven-seater Land Rover Discovery. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be placed above the Discovery Sport when it is fully revealed at the Paris Motor Show. Land Rover has started to create two separate lines of products with a clear difference between them. The first one being the luxurious Range Rover range which features the Evoque, Sport and the proper Range Rover. The other one will be the Discovery range, which will have this new model slated above the current Sport to replace the LR4.

If you hadn’t noticed, the Nissan Xterra was discontinued in August last year, with final stocks selling out by the first few months of this year. While the fate of the true body-on-frame 4×4 was up in the air, we can now confirm via sources that a new model is in development for release sometime in 2017. There is even a prototype running in Australia, with a Pathfinder Classic body.

2018 Toyota Supra rumoured to be in the pipeline

A joint venture between Toyota and BMW was formed at the beginning of 2013 to produce a sports car under each brand. While it is clear that the boffins at BMW is working on a Z4 replacement likely to be called the Z5, the picture of the Toyota’s iteration still remains murky. But in June 2016, Toyota has trademarked the iconic “Supra” moniker with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. This has pointed squarely at a reinvention of the tuner favourite, the Toyota Supra. The design of the new sports car is likely to be heavily influenced by the  FT-1 concept originally unveiled in the 2014 Detroit Motor Show.
