Dubai Police complete BMW service training

Dubai Police technical staff were recently presented with certificates after successfully completing intensive training covering the technical and non-technical aspects of BMW vehicle servicing. The certificates of completion were handed out by AGMC, the exclusive importer of BMW in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, which implemented the programmes. The initiative comes as part of Dubai Police’s continuous efforts to cooperate with local partners.

The ceremony was attended by. Colonel Pilot / Anas Abdul Rahman Al-Matrooshi Deputy Director of Dubai Police Transport and Rescue Department and Lt. Colonel / Aqil Al-Janahi, Director of the Mechanical Department.

Carried out in multiple sessions at AGMC’s headquarters in Dubai and the Dubai Police General Operations Headquarters Workshop, the training included BMW’s processes and diagnostic parameters for vehicle servicing, product and systems knowledge and general maintenance. The training continues BMW and AGMC’s cooperation with Dubai Police, having provided them with 101 BMW 5 Series Sedan vehicles in 2007. AGMC has also conducted several technical training sessions in 2008 and during the first half of 2009 with Dubai Police Technical Staff aimed at providing them with the necessary qualifications and expertise to service their BMW fleet.

“AGMC has fostered a strong relationship with Dubai Police for over a decade now, providing them with vehicles for a host of different purposes, and our service training programs are an extension of that,” said Stathis I. Stathis, General Manager of AGMC. “We already have dedicated Service Advisors to support Dubai Police General Operations staff in any of their enquiries and will continue to offer them complete technical support when needed.”

Stathis continued: “We share the same objective with Dubai Police of enhancing road safety so we want to ensure they are equipped with the best vehicles to do their job. The continued commitment of Dubai Police to the brand is testament to the effectiveness of BMW cars on the roads.”
