Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge special models introduced

2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander
Chrysler had a tough 2009, undergoing a bankruptcy, a takeover by Fiat, and a partial buyout by the U.S. government. Therefore, they have absolutely no new models for the 2010 model year. However, Chrysler has now introduced special editions of existing models in the States, to spruce things up.

Among the Chrysler-badged special editions, the 300 S8 is the most interesting, still powered by a 5.7-litre V8, but now with bigger 20-inch alloy wheels and a dressed-up interior with sporty-bolstered seats.

Dodge gets its own special models, among them the hilariously-named Nitro Detonator, with special alloy wheels, monotone paintjob and an exterior sticker package, among other minor mods. Another special model is the Dodge Viper ACR with simply a new colour scheme, celebrating what is the last hurrah for the halo model that will die out in a year.

Jeep gets the Liberty Renegade, which could come here as a Cherokee variant, with smoked 16-inch wheels, partially-black bonnet and unpainted bumpers. The Wrangler Islander and Wrangler Mountain models come with special paint schemes, stickers and 17-inch wheels.

At this time, it is unknown if these models will be offered in the UAE and other GCC countries.
