Custom Design Cup 2010 Ford Mustang GT

Custom Design Cup 2010 Ford Mustang GT

The 2010 Sharjah Auto Show in October also played host to the first Middle East Motor Tuning Show, which in turn hosted the 2010 Custom Design Cup. Around the Middle East, everyone with a penchant for drawing cars were invited to submit their ideas on how to modify a 2010 Ford Mustang GT, visual exterior and interior only. Ten judges, including me, were asked to rate the designs based on various criteria and whether they were feasible. I also had the additional task of flagging through copy-pasted designs taken off the internet. My job was to just use a points system for rating, so even I didn’t know which design was winning. In the end, this was the car that won, with body mods created from scratch by Bear Garcia’s team and wheels provided by Yellow Hat, as displayed at the show.

Incidentally, I suspect this is the exact Ford Mustang GT press car that I tested about a year ago, as I know this car was blue before it got redone.

  3. I came to your stand! nobody was there 🙁

  4. for me the normal mustang looks better!!! I don’t know how it won the cup(anyways, everyone has different tastes -.- )

  5. Typical ‘Sharjah Special’. The ride height is awful.

  6. I like it.. Looks fine IMO..

  7. How exactly is the driver’s view across the bonnet? I think you could probably run-over a 4-ft kid without knowing it. 😀
