Maybach celebrates 125th anniversary with Edition 125

Celebrating their 125th anniversary, Maybach exhibits the Edition 125 variant of their 57 and 62 regular and S models at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Besides the slightly re-tuned V12 engine in the Maybach 57 S and 62 S models, which now churns out 630 hp, the Edition 125 features several new individualisation options for Maybach customers. Highlights include a new two-tone exterior finish in “Tahiti Black” and “Patagonia Silver”, slightly-redesigned front grilles, daytime running LED lights, and choice of 19-inch and 20-inch rims. Interior craftsmanship is regal with a host of luxury refinements including contour lighting, laser-engraved light motif in the front armrest representing the Maybach logo, optional decoration of the rear seat upholstery with “SWAROVSKI” elements, redesigned badge in 925 sterling silver with “MAYBACH MANUFAKTUR” lettering in the upper part of the seat backrest, and glove compartment lid embroidered with signature of Wilhelm Maybach. Additionally, a rear reclining seat can now be optionally had in the Maybach 57 and 57 S models. Also offered is a high-quality “flacon” perfume atomiser developed exclusively by Maybach, a 19-inch high-resolution cinema screen, partition with personalised motifs, overview camera which displays outside traffic, new mobile phone hands-free system with Bluetooth functionality, and Wi-Fi router enabling in-car wireless internet connectivity.

Maybachs are a rare sight in this region. Nevertheless, the century-old manufacturer may roll out a handful of these limited-edition models in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and rest of GCC, upon request if any.
