2013 Volkswagen Polo Sedan released in UAE and Middle East

Volkswagen has announced the launch of the 2013 Volkswagen Polo sedan in the Middle East. It will be available in two trims – S and SE.

The Indian-built VW Polo sedan will be powered by a 104 hp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The front fascia of the new Polo sedan gets the distinct look of all new Volkswagen models, with fog lamps and 15-inch alloys coming as standard.

The Polo sedan is slightly longer than the European-built hatchback model that isn’t offered here any more. Standard features include electrically-adjustable side mirrors, electric remote unlocking for the boot lid and central locking. Parking sensors and automatic air-conditioning are optional extras. On the entertainment side, a radio with a CD/MP3 player is included in the base model. It also gets genuine leather wrapped around the steering wheel and gear knob. Regarding safety features, Volkswagen gives ABS and dual airbags as standard.

The new Polo sedan should hit showrooms in Saudi Arabia, UAE and the rest of the GCC this month.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Volkswagen buyer guide.

  1. 6-speeed auto? Nice. But only 104 hp from a 1.6… hmm.. fuel economy all d way.

    • the VW Vento.. Strikes a chord?

    • Vento..defintely strikes a cord. but 104hp is jz too less. A 1.3L Yaris makes 99hp ( not the version that comes here though). A 1.5L Sunny makes 109hp (again, not the version coming here!). and oh! yeah…considering VW brought the ancient 2.0L 115hp for the JETTA, 104hp from 1.6L doesnt sound so bad, after all 😛

  2. HAHA
    HELOOOOOOOOOOO VENTO!!!
