Hyundai Genesis 2015 sedan quietly debuts

2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan
Hyundai has finally introduced the all-new 2015 Genesis sedan in Korea, and for whatever reason, they seem to be making it a very low-key event.

The second-generation of the Genesis comes with completely new styling, including a massive grille that’s completely at odds with any other Hyundai models as they’re still trying to forge a consistent brand identity.

The interior also gains a new design as well as more cabin space, and comes with contemporary gadgetry, including a fancier new rear-entertainment system. The wide variety of safety systems include front knee airbags, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Advanced Smart Parking Assist.

It will be offered with a choice of four engines, including a 257 hp 3.0-litre V6, a 282 hp 3.3-litre V6, a 315 hp 3.8-litre V6 and a 425 hp 5.0-litre V8, all with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is standard, but some models also can be had with all-wheel-drive. Hyundai claims the V6 motors can power the car in the 0-100 kph run anywhere from 8.6 to 6.5 seconds, while the V8 will do the deed in 5.4 seconds. Top speeds range from 230 kph to a limited 240 kph across the range.

Expect the 2015 Genesis sedan to reach UAE, Saudi and other showrooms by the middle of next year, probably with only one or two of those engine options as well as a slight price increase.
