2015 Nissan GTR Nismo
The Nissan GT-R is in the fourth year of its life cycle, and throughout the period it has received numerous power upgrades and a slew of exclusive editions. However, its latest incarnation is in Nismo form and it takes cues from the GT3-spec racecar. The GT-R Nismo was officially unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.

The race-inspired supercar receives 600 hp, an increase of 58 hp from the standard GCC variant and subsequently 650 Nm of torque from the same 3.8-litre V6. Only difference is that it is fitted with larger-diameter turbos straight from the GT3 racecar.

The chassis receives some fine tuning too. The suspension is apparently set up to be more refined on road as well as on track. And keeping everything at check are the hollow, lightweight anti-roll bars.

On the outside, you’ll notice the big rear spoiler, the front carbon bumper and its lower front undercover. The three together increases downforce, and the GTR Nismo generates an additional downforce of 100 kg at 300 kph, when compared to the standard GT-R model. The car also rides on black 6-spoke wheels that are inspired by Nissan’s legendary GT500 race car.

On the inside, you’ll get carbon-fibre-backed reclining Recaro race seats. Furthermore, the three-spoke steering wheel will be wrapped in Alcantara and there will be red stitching on the seats, centre console and door trim.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo is projected to be made available for purchase in Japan, USA and Europe by next year. But we’re hoping to see the “ultimate iteration of Nissan’s GT-R” in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the rest of the GCC by mid-2014.

Keep track of the latest updates and prices in the Nissan GT-R buyer guide.

  1. The GTR dwarfs most of the common sedans in length. Its superfast too, so how does it become a mean little supercar, if its 370z, I could still understand.
