Dodge have officially revealed details and images of the 2015 Challenger SRT and Challenger SRT Hellcat.

The new SRT models are based on the facelifted Challenger design. The standard SRT model gets a new aluminium hood, new headlights and a front splitter. It also gets LED taillamps. The Hellcat looks more aggressive with the bigger rear spoiler and larger front splitter. There is also an “Air Catcher” inlet port on the Hellcat which feeds ram-air directly into the engine air box through the driver-side parking lamp. Both get 20-inch rims.

The SRT interior is quite similar to the standard Challenger model, but gets a flat-bottomed steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats wrapped in Nappa leather and Alcantara. Dodge’s U-Connect infotainment system is standard on both the SRT models.

Under the hood, the SRT 392 gets the same 6.4-litre V8 HEMI engine as before but power has been upgraded to 485 hp and 643 Nm of torque. The SRT Hellcat will be getting a 6.2-litre supercharged unit and power will be 600+ hp. All those horses are delivered through either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic.

Both SRT models come with “Valet Mode” which, when enabled, significantly reduces power output of the cars. Engine doesn’t rev above 4,000 rpm, it doesn’t use first gear, upshifts early, launch control is disabled, stability control is completely on and different drive modes are disabled.

Expect the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT and Challenger SRT Hellcat to make its debut in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of the year.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Dodge Challenge buyer guide.
