Mercedes-Benz recently revealed the new GLE Coupe. It is a supposed combination of both coupe and crossover, designed to the tackle the BMW X6.

Exterior-wise, it shares a few design cues of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, such as the roofline and rear tail-lights. The GLE 450 AMG features a bodykit and bigger lightweight rims.

The AMG model also gets a 9-speed automatic, AIRMATIC air suspension, an adaptive damping system and an automatic lowering function which reduces the ride height at higher speeds.

The interior features sport seats, a sports steering wheel and a new infotainment display. The cabin is covered in silver shadow accents, and aluminum or wood trim. The AMG model gets a nappa leather sports steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and carbon-fibre trim with piano black accents.

The models most likely to hit the Gulf are the GLE 400 with the 328 hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, and the GLE 450 AMG which gets the same engine, but higher-tuned to 362 hp.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe could hit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries in the summer on 2015.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe buyer guide.
