Lexus officially unveiled the 2016 GS facelift at Pebble Beach, where they also launched the latest LX 570 model.

The biggest news is probably the addition of a new GS variant in the the range, the 200t, which gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine. This motor produces about 241 hp and 249 Nm of torque. Power is delivered via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior updates include the front end getting a new bigger spindle grille, new front bumper and LED headlights. The rear gets udpated taillights and bumper as well. For the inside, it gets a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display and a 12.3-inch screen for the infotainment system. New exterior colours and different interior colours have been addded for the 2016 model year.

It gets the new Lexus safety system that includes Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beam (IHB) and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

The 2016 Lexus GS facelift should come to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries before the end of the year.

  3. The rear looks are welcome … but the front fascia isn’t appealing … the changes made to ES & IS were still acceptable coz of a much needed update … but this avatar of GS isn’t fascinating at all …
