Ford’s Vignale sub-brand in Europe is a way to offer luxury features and trim on their mainstream models. At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Ford have added four new models to this line up. The Vignale version of the S-Max people mover, Mondeo 5-door hatchback, the Edge SUV and the concept model of the Escape Vignale were all unveiled.

Bespoke exterior details sets the Vignale apart from the normal models. The signature Vignale element is a hexagonal motif that can be found on the upper grill and the leather seats. Also on offer are 19-inch aluminium rims and chrome exterior trim. But if chrome is too flashy for your liking, you can opt for darker alloys, fog lamp surrounds and you can also choose not to have the chrome window surrounds.

An extensively leather-wrapped interior features on the Escape Vignale concept, so that you can find leather on the seats, dash, doors and even on the boot floor, the latter of which is less likely to filter into the production model.

Ford thinks that the Vignale models will be successful in conquering a portion of the luxury car market. To prove this, they put forward the case of the Escape model. 80% of all the Escape models sold in the last few years were the range-topping Titanium models. Ford believes that this will give them the flexibility to introduce the luxury Vignale version of the same. In the U.S. and even in the Middle East, Ford’s own Lincoln may pose a threat, but it is unlikely the Vignale models will be offered in the GCC.

  1. Additionally Al Tayer would struggle to sell these at the prices they would want to charge.

  2. Display pic looks like Avalon from rear and sonata from front! All others seem to have taken a page out of Kia/Sonata brochure….how times have changed!

  3. To me they are all Kia resemblance models Like Carnival, optima, Sorento etc..these all models are very close to kia cars.
