So we got a 2017 Bentley Bentayga (video)

We’ve been following the development of the Bentley Bentayga quite closely. We saw it up close in concept form, with that much-derided front-end. We saw it in its world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, where we saw its famous Breitling dash-clock option that costs as much as the car. We even saw it in Dubai at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show where we interviewed one of the designers. Unfortunately we never got a chance to get behind the wheel since it hit the roads in 2016, but we were finally given this blue one to try out for a couple of days.

Inside and outside, it is purely Bentley design language, even if the Continental GT’s looks don’t translate very well into an SUV. Despite our misgivings, it turned a lot of heads, with a lot of positive comments from non-enthusiast bystanders who didn’t even know Bentley made a 4×4.

We’ll go over the Bentayga in detail in our full review later, but if you understand the local language, here’s our Arabic editor Tammam’s video review.

  1. How can they still make it this ugly a London cab looks better

  2. To each his own…pictures don’t really speak the truth. It looks much better in the flesh. Saw it in a red paint scheme this week and it looked royal!

  3. design-wise definitely the biggest fail in the “superluxury” car segment in decades..
