2022 Kia Sportage debuts, radically redefining a boring segment

Kia has revealed the official images of the all-new 2022 Sportage, bringing groundbreaking interior and exterior design to a segment littered with boring players.

Launched alongside Kia’s rebranding drive with the new logo, the 2022 Sportage is completely out there with its aggressively futuristic front-end design and handsome overall profile that appears to be larger than the outgoing model.

The new model also brings such luxuries as a curved display screen on the dashboard, integrated with an overall interior design that would be fitting in a premium brand.

For the first time in the Sportage’s history, a bodykitted model is being offered, dubbed the Sportage X-Line, that features a unique front bumper, side sills and a curved roof rack. On the inside, customers can choose between a signature sage green or black seating, as well as quilting and black metallic trim.

No engine or mechanical details have been released, although knowing their modus operandi for the Middle East, we’d expect mostly carryover engines.

Due for global market launch later this year, more information on the all-new Sportage will be made available in due course. Expect the new model to appear in UAE, KSA and GCC showrooms by the end of the year.
