2022 Jeep Compass gets minor facelift and new interior

The Jeep Compass is a very important sales driver for the brand globally, even though it’s been a bit of a flop in the UAE and other GCC markets. The compact crossover SUV has been running its current guise for more than 3 years now. Jeep revealed a facelift for the Compass in China late last year, which just made its Indian debut as well.

The exterior of the 2022 Jeep Compass is not a drastic departure from the current models. Some modest updates of the design sum up the entire facelift. The headlights look narrower, and a new narrow horizontal grill slips in under the iconic seven-slot radiator grill. There are slight tweaks to the taillight design too.

The interior went through a thorough makeover. The dashboard gets a completely new design with a 10.1-inch infotainment system acting as the centerpiece. There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster behind the new steering wheel.

With this small facelift, a change in the engine list does not seem likely. The 2022 Jeep Compass may continue to function with the same middling 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, pushing out 184 hp and 321 Nm.

As the reveal of the 2022 Jeep Compass facelift was local to China under the FCA banner, it is unclear when or if Stellantis will bring this update to the Middle East.
