The VW Touareg is a luxurious and comfortable 4WD that is surprisingly capable both on the road and off it too. It is a practical vehicle, and on the highway, the Touareg offers a firm but smooth ride, and its handling is responsive for its mass, while in the desert, a full set of off-roading equipment comes in handy, including locking diffs and low-range gearing. The range includes a 3.2-litre V6, a 4.2-litre V8 and a very limited 6.0-litre W12. All models come with a six-speed automatic with manual shift capability. Also standard is Volkswagen's 4Motion permanent all-wheel-drive system. The Touareg seats five, and there is no third row of seats available. The Touareg comes standard with leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control with rear seat controls, wood trim, power windows, mirrors and sunroof, electrically adjustable front seating, alloy wheels of various sizes, ABS and many more items.
