The new-for-2008 A5 is an all-new four-seater coupe by Audi that is based on the new stretched A4 platform. The A5 incorporates many elements from the Nuvolari concept of 2003, including Audi's trademark loudmouth grille framed by rectangular headlights, a very thick C-pillar, frameless windows, and a waistline that flows upwards around the wheel arches to give the car a dynamic, sporty character. The Audi A5 is powered by a 3.2-litre FSI V6 engine. Power is delivered through a CVT transmission for the front-wheel-drive version, and a 6-speed tiptronic auto transmission for the Quattro all-wheel-drive version. Technology includes partial LED lighting, an electromechanical parking brake, an all-plastic key and three-zone climate control, along with all the usual luxury features, such as power windows, electric mirrors, sunroof and leather upholstery.
