Overview
The CL-Class, the coupe version of the S-Class on which it is based, received a minor facelift for the 2011 model. This coupe features numerous innovative safety technology, such as up-front sensors which make it possible to assess the impact severity at an early stage during a crash and activate the front passenger airbag in two stages depending on the severity of the accident. Other features include Active Body Control for better handling, Intelligent Light System using bi-xenon headlights with five different lighting functions to match weather conditions. Options include night-view assist with infrared headlamps, reversing camera, voice control for car radio, DVD changer and navigation as well as tyre pressure monitoring system. Some new engines were introduced as well. Models include the CL 500 with a 4.7-litre V8, mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
