2010 Mercedes-Benz S Class

This generation of the popular S-Class debuted in 2006, and was facelifted for 2010 with a mildly different grille, a revised bumper and optional LED marker lights. Almost all models offered in the GCC are the long-wheelbase version, which include the S 350 L, the S 500 L and the S 600 L, all with automatic gearboxes. A new entry-level S 300 short=wheelbase model and an S 400 HYBRID model both debuted for 2010, while the S 500 4MATIC all-wheel-drive model is also now offered in the GCC. The new model features new steps in road safety with the second generation of the PRE-SAFE occupant protection system that predicts accidents and prepares the car's occupants for the crash by initiating safety measures such as pre-tensioning seatbelts, raising seat backs to the optimum position and even closing the sunroof.
