Overview
Acura made its entry into the Middle East market in 2015. Currently it is only being sold in Kuwait. The Acura TLX is their midsize luxury sedan offering. Under the hood, two engines are on offer - a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder motor and a 3.5-litre V6 unit. The 4-cylinder engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic, while the V6 gets a 9-speed automatic transmission. In the US, there were few recalls for reduced fuel pump performance which may caused the engine to stall, lose transmission wiring harness could cause the transmission shift to neutral and the transmission 'Park' gear lock not engaging increasing the chance of vehicle to roll. Owners have reported harsh gear changes from the 9-speed Automatic Transmission which is improved after a transmission fluid change and transmission software update.
